England has proposed to sell some of its public forests to help pay off its debts, including Sherwood Forest, the famed home of ROBIN HOOD! England has few public forests left; it's sad to think they would liquidate them. The advertisement for the proposed sale is depressing.

"In a bid to raise much-needed government cash, the British authorities are pushing forward with a controversial plan to sell or lease much of the publicly managed woodlands and forests in England over the next decade, an area of nearly 1,000 square miles.
