Zion National Park, UtahThis week I had a roundtrip ticket from D.C. to Las Vegas for a work trip. I've been here 7 days now and haven't seen the strip. Instead, I toured the California Desert - Joshua Tree Nat'l Park, San Jacinto Mountains and Mojave Desert; hiked in the Utah canyons at Zion National Park, and planted trees at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area in Nevada. Much better than gambling.

i wholeheartedly concur! the strip is soo depressing, in my opinion. glad you had a wonderful time!
